Windshield Seal Change- 3 Stooges Style!

So Moe and Larry..........uh, I mean Will and Charles (veetarded and -camber to you!) come over to my place and we start with my windshield seal project that has been pending for years. After the great hail storm of 2004, I decided I'd had enough of the puddle on the passenger floor and the stinky, stinky carpet. It's time to change out that seal ( Thanks Randy for having these!!) So here goes.

Pop old windshield out...:

Pull off the old seal...:

....and find THIS!: Geez. No wonder it was leaking!

Clean up, sand, primer and paint the old rusted out channel

Sucker Charles into wresting the new seal on the glass...

Plop new sealed up glass into the nice clean and painted channel:

Spend longer cleaning up the gooey silicone than it took to do this job, and ...

VIOLA! nice new seal and hopefully no leaks and no chrome ring around the glass anymore ( I like that better) MANY MANY thanks to the boys for comin' out and helping with this project.....although you will notice that there is no evidence of me actually WORKING on this project......ah the tried and true " I'm the Cameraman" excuse......
